Five years ago I broke my back and gained a lot of weight due to steroids and then more during a year-long recovery.
I weighed in around 160, which was a lot of my 5’4″ frame. After my freshman year of college I lost nearly 40 pounds by following a diet plan, but shortly after that I was diagnosed with Rheumatoid Arthritis.
Again, I gained some weight from not being able to work out due to all of the pain that I was in. When I began to work out again last year I started with a personal trainer at the gym, which did help me start to gain muscle that I lost, but the intensity of the workouts really had a harsh effect on my joints.
It wasn’t until May of this year that I discovered Bar Method Plano, and I am so incredibly thankful that I did. I am in the BEST shape of my life…I am beginning to become more toned and definitely more confident.
Along with that, my joint pain has decreased and my back has not had any pain. I feel like I’m giving my body a second chance.
After all these years of struggling with medical problems, I finally feel like me again. I can’t sing y’all enough praises. I just wanted to thank ALL of you for such wonderful classes week after week. I wake up excited and energized to get to class, even though you guys kick my butt every time!
