Sometime in the Spring/Summer of 2011 I began hearing talk of Bar classes.  I was very intrigued as I had always wanted those fabulous dancer legs and had even considered taking ballet classes to try to achieve those legs.

I had been a gymnast beginning at the early age of 3 until I was 15.  Although I loved gymnastics, I always felt like it left me with bulky, muscular thighs, and not the long lean legs I had always wanted.  That started me on a course of different activities trying to achieve those results.  I tried bootcamps, personal trainers, and running.  I did not start to achieve those long lean legs until I tried Bar Method!

I was visiting my sister in Los Angeles and mentioned The Bar Method to her and she said there was a Bar Method down the street from where she lived.  I went to my first class in L.A. in July of 2011 and I was hooked!  But unfortunately, there was not a Bar Method anywhere close to where I lived.

My sister went on to joining The Bar Method in Encino, CA and began seeing great results!  During my next visit to L.A., we attended several classes and when leaving one of those classes I noticed a flyer on the counter announcing a new Bar Method in Plano, TX.  I could not have been more excited!!  I joined as soon as I could!

What I didn’t expect with Bar Method was it helped solve a back problem I had been dealing with since 2004.  I had been diagnosed with Sacroiliac Joint Dysfunction.  In my case, my SI joint would come out of place and cause extreme pain in my lower back.  I sought help through spine doctors, physical therapists, and chiropractors.  The spine doctor sent me to physical therapy.  I went through physical therapy for months and then was told by two physical therapists that they had done all they could do to help me and sent me on my way.

My chiropractor could always get the joint back in place but could not get it to stay in place.  It was not until Bar Method that my SI joint has stayed in place for long periods of time.  It has been 4 months now since my SI joint has come out of place, when normally I have that problem at least monthly and even more frequently than that!  I find the more Bar Method I do, the less problem I have!  It’s amazing to me!

Marin, thank you so much for bringing The Bar Method to Plano!  You have enabled me to achieve results I have always wanted and live a pain free life.  I cannot say enough nice things about all of the instructors at Bar Method Plano.  I appreciate your instruction and corrections during class to help me achieve better form; the way you remember every clients’ name and how to pronounce them (it means a lot to me…because my name is always mispronounced); and your friendship!  I feel like I have become part of the Bar Method Family here and always look forward to class.  I will be forever grateful!!

I also participated in the 60-Day Fall Fitness Challenge.  I have lost 6 pounds and 1/2 an inch in my arms, waist, and thighs!  I could not be more excited to see those results in 60 days!  I greatly appreciated having nutritionists available to help me with one of my goals, which was eating cleaner.  Holly and Angel gave me a lot of good advice and information on ways to change the way I eat.  I now have more energy, and just feel lighter and cleaner!  The 60-Day Challenge was a success for me and will help me continue with my goals!  Thank you again for making this possible!
